Lovely fiber. Yum! Fave song (well, for the time being) is U2's Mysterious Ways. Alternatively, Sesame Street's C is for Cookie (don't laugh, it's my phone ringtone).

Oh lordy, I have to pick just one favourite? I suppose at the moment it's Vienna Teng, for being a charming woman as well as an awesome musician. The last time I saw her live I got her to hold my sock-in-progress afterward for a picture.

"Loved by the Sun" by Tangerine Dream. It's from the Legend soundtrack and my hubby and I used it at our wedding. It's sooooo cheesy but it's a sweet song and makes me cry every time.

Too many favorite songs to name just one! But U2, Sting and Tom Waits do it for me every time!

One of my all time favorite songs is "Our House" by Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young.

As far as a band, I can't pick just one..

Thanks for the opportunity!

It's so pretty I have to play!

I don't think I could honestly pick a favorite, but for this contest, I'll say Eric Clapton, as I've been listening to him lately. Got to see him in concert once, and I think I sat with my jaw slightly dropped the whole time--what a genius!

Anne Kaelber said...

I've got different songs (and bands) for different moods. One of my current favorite Bands is Disturbed. I love their latest album "Ten Thousand Fists"---there's so many good songs on it, including an *excellent* cover of "Land of Confusion".

When I'm writing, I use different playlists to help me set the mood and get into my character's heads. Disturbed features on one playlist for a character who has a lot to be angry about and is (so far) still feeling very powerless. I don't yet know if the band will show up as themselves or if I'll make it some made-up band, but currently this character has been to four of their concerts since she was exiled from her home territory.

As for your fiber---stunning! I'm a newbie spinner and I'd love to see what I could make out of that. Here's to hoping for a win! *smile*

I don't think Google/Blogger links to my blog.

Anne.

Gorgeous fiber. Absolutely love the colors.
Okay, now that's a tough choice to make. :) Always did hate having to pick a specific favorite, always depends on my mood. Can I pick three and get away with it? :)

Gonna have to go with Paint It Black by the Rolling Stones.

That is some seriously gorgeous roving!

As to my favorite band, I have to go with the Beatles. I can't pick a favorite song -- I love so many!

I'm really touched by "What Kind of World Do You Want" by Five for Fighting. I have two boys with autism, one high-functioning, and one non-verbal and severely affected. Autism Speaks did a video to John Ondrasik's (Five for Fighting) song that I can't watch without crying because it hits so close to home. John encouraged others to make videos using his song as the inspiration with all the money going to charity. I love this song and respect the man behind it a great deal because he's really trying to make a difference.

Here's the link if you want to check it out: http://www.whatkindofworlddoyouwant.com/

Thanks!

But I have to say, one of my favorite songs is "Young James Dean" by Girlyman. Gorgeous fiber! If I had to pick 1 song, it would be "If I Could Dream" by Elvis (is my age showing? /g/) Story is that he'd already recorded his 69 Comeback Special when MLK was assassinated. In response and in an attempt to keep the "I have a dream" speech alive, Elvis added this song as a tribute and the advertisers said they'd pull their money if he included the song. He said "Yeah?
